Karen Ferguson

Co-Founder

Karen is one of ThyCa’s 17 Co-Founders. Diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 1994, she began bringing thyroid cancer survivors together over the Internet in 1995. She co-coordinates ThyCa’s Toll-Free Number Team, and the Person-To-Person Network. Karen lives in Lake Wylie, South Carolina, with her husband and several retired racing greyhounds. She has been involved for many years with greyhound rescue and animal-assisted therapy as a Tester/Observer for The Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
